The Brazilian Society of Finance (SBFin), established on July 23, 2001, during the First Brazilian Finance Meeting, is an association of finance scholars, including academics, students and industry professional, which aims at encourage the study of finance in the country, as well as develop and disseminate the knowledge of theories and techniques for raising the quality of teaching, research and practical application in financial management and investment activities.

The Brazilian Review of Finance is the official publication of the Brazilian Society of Finance and aims at the progress and the dissemination of finance knowledge in Brazil through the publication of technical articles in all fields of research in finance and financial economics. The Brazilian Review of Finance is indexed by Econlit/JEL, RedALyC, Gale, Google Scholar, Portal Spell, and Fonte Academica, an electronic resource offered by EBSCO Publishing.
