Important Announcement: New RBFin Publication Format – Continuous Flow
The Revista Brasileira de Finanças (RBFin) is entering a new phase in its editorial journey. With the publication of the final issue of 2024 (v. 22, n. 4), we conclude the cycle of quarterly editions. Now, we are ready to implement the Continuous Flow system, which will enhance the agility of academic content dissemination and strengthen our commitment to excellence.
What changes with Continuous Flow?
- Faster publication: Approved articles will be published as soon as they are finalized in the editorial process, without waiting for a full issue to be compiled.
- Increased visibility: Each article will be available for consultation and citation immediately upon publication, broadening its reach within the academic community and the market.
- Annual volume organization: Articles published within the same year will form a single volume (e.g., v. 23 for 2025) and will be organized in publication order.
How will publications be managed?
To ensure organization and accessibility, the edition control will follow these guidelines:
- Identification by volume and year: Each article will include the volume number (e.g., v. 23) and the year (2025).
- Continuous updates on the RBFin website: A dynamic list will be available, consolidating all articles published within the same annual volume.
- DOI assignment and publication dates: Each article will receive a unique DOI, and its publication date will be explicitly indicated.
When does it start?
Starting January 2025, the new system will be officially implemented. Volume 23 (2025) will mark the beginning of Continuous Flow publication, ending the fixed edition model used through the end of 2024.
Opportunity for Authors
With this new format, authors will have their work disseminated more quickly and effectively, contributing to greater academic impact. RBFin remains open for submissions and invites everyone to be part of this exciting new stage.
